Arrowhead Santa Show
On December 1, Christine had her 18 month check up! All went well with that. It was a little sad that she had to get a shot, but you are so brave my angel. You only cried for a minute, until I pointed out your bugs bunny band-aid and gave you a special "pop pop". Nana held you through the appointment (except for the shot, that's Mommies job). At the end, the Dr. gave you two books to take home.... Then it was off to see Santa!
We went to Arrowhead Towne Center, where they were putting on a Santa Show! You got to sit and watch songs and see Santa with Gracie, Camden and Evan! Afterwards, we went to see Santa at his spot in the mall and you even touched his hand! We were not quiet ready for a sit on Santa's lap though!
Santa Party
Saturday, December 11th, The Rayburn's threw a great Christmas playdate. Only a few friends attended (which was much more manageable on the parents). Ryder & His Parents, Stephen & Sonja and Their Parents, Dylan & His Parents and Camron & His Parents all came! The best part was the visit from Santa Clause! He brought presants for all the little boys and girls! There was also cookie decorating, jello jigglers and a wreath craft! Oh What fun!
Estrella Tree Lighting & The Ballpark
On Saturday, December 4th, we went to the clubhouse for some fun Christmas activities. First, we awaited Santa's arrival with Liam and his family. Nana, Papa, Mommy, Daddy and Christine were all in attendance! After we saw Santa from afar (not interested in a lap sit still), we got to decorate Christmas cookies! Christine's favorite part was putting on the sprinkles (and then eating them off)! We spent the majority of our time at this fun table! They also had real snow and a picture frame project! I cannot believe how creative you are already for only 18 months! My amazing little princess!
After we exhausted all the activities "up the mountain", we went "down the hill" to the Goodyear Ballpark, where we met up with your BFF Ryder. Christine went down the big big blow up slides with Daddy, played in a fun pit and even tried the bounce house. Due to a bump on the head when she first entered, the bounce house wasn't a favorite on this particular evening. All in all Christine really enjoyed all of the rides!
Say Cheese
Sunday morning we had our first attempt at family Christmas photos. All in all that was not a huge success. Christine just is not a fan of strangers in a small confined space, especially when they are tickling her toes with a duster and coming at her at all angles with bells!
Say Cheese Part 2
Sunday morning (again), we had a photographer come over to the house to take our pictures. Of course, Ms. Christine didn't want to sit still. But she was beautiful as always and at least her happy self. We got some great family shots and some where she just looks like a little Angel. Our very own angel, here on earth!
Happy Birthday Addi
Oh the things you can do on Imagination Avenue! The kids really enjoyed playing pretend in a little boutique, fire station, kitchen, bakery and school room. There was even an imagination jail! After playing around for a little while, they celebrated Addi's 2nd birthday with a cake and pizza! Christine's favorite part was the firetruck and the mini playground (slide and climbing wall).
